Good old days for me were with a 760 plinking cans and keeping the pigeon population in check at the local private airfield hangar. I got into NRA rimfire pistol bullseye competition in high school, and they also had an air pistol class. Bought a Daisy 717 NIB at a local gun shop for $59.95 to compete with. A fair chunk of change in the mid 80's. Great gun. Did well with it then, and I still own it and plink with it now.

Yup, was reminiscing about the old days this afternoon with my Slavia 618 break barrel and Crossman 101 pumper. Still shoot them regularly ...we're all getting a bit decrepit though. 😉

Still, they're a pleasant change from shooting the new PCP youngsters.

I did pickup a Beeman R7 (Weihrauch HW30) last summer and wonder what took my so long to do so. They're great little shooters, reminds me of being a kid again.

Cheers

Good old days were two 10 year olds carrying .22's on their back riding bicycles to a dump to shoot rats. In a major city, Dallas tx, and cops never looked twice while we rode down the road armed.
Yeah, remember those times.

Was practicing in the field by the road with my first "real" gun (a .177 break barrel) when a cop pulled over to watch. After a couple of minutes he came over to give me a couple of tips and had a few shots himself. Wouldn't see that these days!

I don't remember the good old days because I'm too young. I'm only 64 years young. I heard about it. When men were men and sheep ran from them.
The three lies of a cowboy.

I won this belt bucket at the rodeo.

My pickup truck is paid for.

I was just helping that sheep over the fence.

Those old BB guns were nice and cool back then but the newer guns are way more fun in spite of the downsides of pcp's. Just owning my own powerful compressor is a huge relief in regards to convenience.

Not quite as powerful but I enjoy the experience of shooting my FWB 601 much more than the FWB 300s I had or my Diana M27 of 52 years ago.
Also I never did enjoy the multi's near as much as SSP's.
Sorry but refinement and precision just overcomes any nostalgia I have for the old guns so I'll keep those fond memories of when I was a kid back there in my mind.
