N/A Remington saber 4x32 scope?

hi all, im looking between the Remington sabre or the Remington express XP. both in .177. im probably more convinced on the sabre as the stock looks much nicer and the internals are the same however i have noticed the scopes are different. the express comes with a 3-9x32 and the sabre comes with a 4x32. i would prefer an adjustable scope to be honest. is this that big of a deal and is there any place that sells the sabre with the 3-9 scope? its my first rifle. any tips on my first buy will be appreciated thanks

Hugo,
Welcome to the forum, glad to have you. Checked out Sabre and Express XP, seem like solid values with scope/rings included. Scope preference would be 3-9x32, but we're not talking long distance, so 4x32 would work. In the nitro-piston platform, XP, or high power, versions are often more accuracy-challenged than standard power. Standard models are designed to move pellets at speeds they prefer, the extra punch of "high power" moves pellets past that speed. Hit harder but you pay for it in accuracy. WM

I'm sorry to be a kill joy. Included scopes are always cheap garbage and not worth considering. Manufacturers throw them in as visual sales enticers. They put no (as in zero, zip, zilch, nada) effort towards putting any quality in them. Assume they will break in the first 1000 shots and you'll be replacing it. You're better off spending the same money on a better scopeless rifle because you'll be buying a scope any way. At least you'll have a better rifle under whatever scope you buy later.

We have all been down this road. Some of us more than once before we learned.
Good luck and welcome aboard.

Ron
