I removed the stock rear sight on my Beeman R9. It has a pin sticking up. Is that something that will likely fall out , or should I leave it in? I don’t want to mar it by trying to remove it.

Put a piece of masking tape over it and along the top of the breech block. Come straight down on the pin with good pliers and twist slowly while pulling upward. The pin will come right out. The tape is too prevent scratches on the breech block. The pin is hardened so you'll have to squeeze tight to grip it but there's no chance of damaging the pin with the pliers.

I use it a set of pliers that have a rounded hole cut out. It’s removable but may take patients. And a tad heat with trigger lighter. Don’t you any torch. They are not loc tilted in. Just pressed with some effort but not load bearing

I've grabbed them with a keyless drill chuck and pull right out. Some need pulled, some come right out.
I also have soft jaws I made for pliers out of 18 ga. aluminum that are very handy and won't mar steel parts

Thank you. I use Albrecht or Jacobs keyless chucks I have. Have one each mounted on #2 Morse taper shanks. Another 3 spare Albrechts around here.As

I just removed the rear sight blade and left the rest intact. That way I don't have those holes showing.

Don't crank the elevation screw down hard. I believe it bottoms on the barrel and you may deform the barrel

If you leave the holes there long enough you mind turns a blind eye to them and you won't notice them anymore. I'm ocd and the holes bothered me alot. The lack of a perfect solution made me leave the holes there until I found one I don't even see the holes anymore. I mean I see them but my brain learned to accept them as normal. None of my dozen weihrauch have their rear sights. Only 2 used beemans I have, have plates over them and they look odd to me.
