Tuning Removing swarm system from Gamo rifle

I have a swarm fusion gen2. It's still new and maybe I will become more adjusted to it as time goes by. But so far it kinda seems that this system is more trouble than it's worth. It seems finicky about how you load the pellets and I've had some fall out and cause a dryfire. But I will admit I'm getting a little better at loading them but The whole system just seems kind of flimsy.

I'm not hell bent to do this, but down the road I might be. So I was just wondering if anyone else felt the same.

I have the Swarm Fox Gen2 in 22 which has been great for me. I am using H&N Field Target trophy and Crosman Premier pellets without an issue. Yes, it seems somewhat flimsy but now that I have a ten shot mag I would not consider going back to a single shot break barrel for a fun sport gun. The Fox has been surprisingly accurate at 25 yards up to 40 yards which is about as far as I want to use it.

They're pretty decent for the price, but a bit rough around the edges. Not know for the best triggers or smoothest shot cycle, but they can be very accurate. Just generally a pretty generic product. I had one that I lent to a buddy. I had it a long time and still liked it. But it was quite loud, though it bore the name "Whisper" and was pretty harsh shooting

Advertised quietness was why I bought the one I did. But I had nothing to compare to. I do need it to be quiet to shoot in my backyard in the city. I'd like it quieter, but it's not terrible.

Mine does seem to be very accurate with at least one pellet i've found, the jsb 10.34 heavy. I can shoot a dime size 10rd group at 20 yds. I haven't tried it farther out yet, that's all I can get in my yard.

Even though I've only had it a few weeks, I can't help looking at the Weinrauch videos I see. The 97 K and 97 KT have really caught my eye. But there's no way I can justify spending that much money on one. At least not yet. I need to live with this one and see if I stick with all this first.

Indeed, thats why I got one. Not much quiet about a piece of lead zipping at 950fps,or the slam of a gas piston.

Good you found a pellet it likes. Mine seemed to like most I threw in it. mine was made in 2007. Worked and shot flawlessly until one of my friends took it to the beach apparently, next time I saw it it was completely filled with rust 😑 That was this past year.

GRT iii trigger helped a lot

Now the only functioning springer I have is a Weihrauch hw50s. It shoots 16gr .22 at 590fps Not overkill, not underkill. Everything about it is solid and crisp. And it will group at or under 1/2 a dime at 20 yards

One thing to keep in mind about side lever and under lever guns with wood stocks.... they get HEAVY. My 50 is 8.25lbs with a small 24mm scope on it. And it is fairly front heavy being so solidly built. Overall weight is one thing, but weight distribution is another. More weight on the nose will have the gun feeling like it weighs 12+lbs. I cannot imagine how heavy a hw97 would feel.
