Resin Printed Moderator

...I can put three of these on the bed at one time and print them in 3hrs. Just blisteing fast compared to FDM.

:) who said you can print these baffles stick to the bed only? nah, hang them in stories 5-6-7 layers up as much is your internal volume, and connect with supports ... you can print 50-60 at ones leave it running over night ;)

Well, I got to test a few shots through the new mod and it sounds really good. I shortened my Huma down to the same length as the old and new versions of your mod, only two chambers. I need to put the felt insert back in the first section of my Huma mod to make it a more even test of internal volume. The Huma has a slightly deeper tone than your old and new mods. They have the same level of deadening the sound just different tones. I wonder if your mod had more volume for that first blast of air to escape into, if it would have a deeper tone. I took out the felt in the first chamber of my Huma for the air to fill before going on to the next. They all sound really well. The helicoil worked great and should be your new thread insert. Lot more threads engaged than the thread insert. I would take a few shots and then change out the mod to the next and keep shooting at the same spot. There were no POI changes from any of the mods. Great job there. I used them on my lower power FX Dreamtac Compact and higher power Daystate Revere. Just did some shooting in the basement so the sound is more defined than open outside space. Was going to record it but my air conditioner kept kicking on. Hard to do a video outside with car noise constant in my area. May download a db tester on the phone and see how it does. Have to get out to the inlaws to try it in the country where the only sounds are the birds and wind through the trees. Well done sir on the 3D printing. These are quality builds.

Also, what is a life expectancy for resin parts outdoors?
I printed windflags last fall, those were out on my deck over Canadian winter and now the sun is burning them, last time I checked were holding up pretty solid.
It depends on the specific resin you use. I've had some resin exposed to sunlight for years with no clear degradation.

@bigHUN Want to say you were right about using a resin printer. I really like the one I just got. Still learning but I can put three of these on the bed at one time and print them in 3hrs. Just blisteing fast compared to FDM. Very little post processing. I could push six or eight of these out the door in an 8 hour shift, no problem. If I went for a one piece model I could do significantly more per day.

Now that I am getting some reliability with the resin printer, I am going to increase the resolution of the models. That will improve laminar flow over the tesla baffles. I'm getting six tesla baffles in 128mm with an air stripper as the first "baffle". This specific model is quite nice and the testers are pleased with both the accuracy and the suppression.
Any idea when you might sell these? Really digging the look and the design.

Watch the classifieds. I sell them from time to time. I have quite a selection of them at the moment and need to clear up the shelf space. I expect I will put a couple up for sale this week. Direct message me with information about what you're interested in and I will try to put one in the classifieds that meets that criteria.
