restocking a Swiss Arms TG1

I have, in my collection, a Swiss Arms TG1 break barrel rifle. It shoots well. I'm surprised at how accurate it is, but I don't like the stock. I would like to restock it. Anyone ever restocked a budget air rifle? I'm wondering if it would be worth the trouble.

I bought that same rifle... because of the stock :)

IVe done a couple break barrel stocks. the cocking slot is the bug-bear of it. if youve carved other stocks for other guns you wont have an issue. just some extra planning in the design phase and extra steps when you cut it

Worth it? thats up to you...... if you like then gun and you can fix the shortcomings of the stock, then yes it would be worth it.

The problem with my stock is, as I understand, common to the TG1, the adjustment for the stock, under the cheek piece will not tighten up. Mine is also missing the cheek piece, which I'm sure I can fab up out of wood. I might try to fix it before I tackle a restock job. Like I said the gun shoots really good. I shoot it with open sights and can shoot very good groups with it.
