This evening, I bought a tin of .22 JSB Straton pellets from Penchetta up in North Scottsdale. I had always wanted to try the Stratons but could never find them until today. I got home with only 45 minutes of daylight remaining so I setup a target at 17 yards and proceeded to shoot 4 three shot groups of the following pellets:
The top row shows the results from shooting the JSB Straton. .The numbers representing the shot order. The bottom row are the results of shooting the JSB Jumbos.
The picture below shows the groupings using the JSB Jumbo Heavy pellets. As you can see these were the most accurate or the 3 different pellets.Note is was getting dark and I had difficulty seeing the target for the last 2 groups.
Results:
1st Place - JSB Exact Jumbo Heavy Diabolo 18.13 gr (5.52mm head size)
2nd Place - JSB Exact Jumbo Diabolo 15.89 gr (5.52mm head size)
3rd Place - JSB Straton Jumbo Diabolo 15.89 gr (5.50mm head size)
Regards,
Scott
