Umarex Retirement is getting expensive

Started retirement this last October. With the extra time, decided to give my PCP's a break and started getting back into CO2 just for the fun of it. I forgot just how fun it
was to get out and plink. These are two of the latest toys. The Umarex Legends Cowboy Rifle is a blast to shoot. The grouping on the target is at 15 yds. Straight out of the box, no adjustments. Pretty accurate for a smooth bore.
The Umarex Beretta 92fs definitely lives up to the hype. All German made. Rifled barrel, nickel finish with wood grips. It was a little pricey, but worth it. Really smooth action and nice to shoot.

Absolutely. 4 new ones in the last couple of months. But what the hell. Retirement is about enjoying yourself, right?
did you get a Colt SAA to match the legends lever action?
I had the beretta 92 firearm, looks almost identical to yours, gave it to my adult daughter for a birthday, was a nice stainless steel gun but was too heavy in the holster for a day in the woods..I prefer smaller and lighter ones..
would be nice to see what other CO2 guns you have..
I borrowed a s&w mp CO2 gun from a friend,it shot nice but there's no notch to lock the spring follower back for reloading BB's and I had a terrible time with carpal tunnel trying to load it.. I'm curious if there's a way to find out which guns have a notch, and I actually might ask him to see it again and see if I got one if I could machine a notch..
I had a notos that I shortened to the length of the tube but it was still too long, I have a velox and it's better but chunky and a bit heavy, so it's got me thinking about getting into CO2 again..
I love the looks of the lever action and the Colt SAA, especially the nickel one.

Don't have the Colt saa yet. That's next. I do have the remington 1875 though, and a crosman snr 357. Another one on the list will be the Schofield no3

I believe the cartridges are interchangeable between the Remington and the Schofield.. do any interchange in the crossman 357?
I had found a chart someone had made a few years ago that listed all the reproduction cartridge guns and said what they are compatible with 🤔 have no idea where now.. would be nice to hear comparison between the 1875& Colt and Schofield.. if you don't mind..
I also wondered how the legends lever action and the Barra 1866 CO2 lever action compares..
you are getting a nice collection..

I can definitely interchange between the Remington and the SNR357. Not sure if it will with the colt. The peacemaker and cowboy rifle interchange, but the colt cartridges look a little different than the Remington. They sell separate pellet cartridges for the peacemaker and cowboy rifle, but pellets work fine in the BB cartridges that come with it. Tried several types of pellets so far, work perfectly.

one of my friends ask if i missed work , HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA . Been retired 12 years now .
Another friend ask what my plan was for today , i just gave a blank stare , what i imagine is "the deer in the headlight look "
I was forceably retired, actually "laid off" about 13 years ago also, About 3 months shy of full social security age. I did something I never thought I would do, got unemployment for a couple of months until I got lined up with a staffing agency and started doing relief work as a pharmacist. At first I was working a lot of full days plus some half days on Saturdays, but now have slowed down at age 79 to just half days. Been having some knee problems, so do not want to stand too much
Today shopped around and got a new Gehmann adjustable iris for the FWB602 I just finished fixing up, and an adjustable palmrest so I can stand up and shoot better.

Hey rcrochte,
Remember though, most Airguns will hold their value and can be sold for 75%+ their original cost … if cared for properly ;).
More rational to expand your collection (y).

When i retired My Union had a clause stating you cannot be employed as that would take away someone else's work ( in the same job field or directly connected to that field )

Retired just over 6 years ago ; best decision I've ever made . Now I don't do $**t , and I usually don't do that until after lunch. I play with air guns , rim fire rifles , and all of the support systems that go along with them . Then I sell some stuff , buy some different stuff and play some more. I'm having a blast and hope this dream doesn't end anytime soon. As I tell my other co-workers (still employed ) retire when you can.......life is full of uncertainties. PS , on a side note; my wife was planning to retire about the same time as me , but, ....................after having me underfoot for several weeks , she decided to keep working (she still is)........😆

I have not done well trying to sell ..or buy for that matter here on the forum.. I currently have a rifle that was new in October, bought two similar ones because I couldn't decide which one.. and I did get a decent package deal, if you figure in shipping, I'm about just over 50% of a new one..
maybe everyone money is tight or likely they are not looking for the one I have for sale..
I tried to get a used GK1 in the classifieds but it keeps getting renewed but not even a reply to my inquiries.. and if that's not bad enough,I stupidly clicked follow on the add when I saw it.. after I think 3 times contacting the seller without response I tried to unfollow it because it was like taunting me every week.. well that unfollow button said that I unfollowed successfully but I'm still getting notifications for it 😭
my dog just was at the vet hospital and now definitely glad I didn't buy the GK1 because of be in a very tight spot for a few months..
it all works out but sometimes you wonder.

I think if I remember correctly, Remington and crossman and Schofield interchangeable.. 1 basic cartridge .. the new cartridges for the Schofield or Barra lever action load from the rear like the Colt SAA
Colt SAA and legends lever action interchangeable between each other .. but different from the crossman style.. but I also read that the BB cartridges are a different ID than the pellet cartridges..if I remember correctly the BB version has a smaller bore for a little bit more velocity shooting BB'S..if so I think it would be more accurate with pellets shooting from pellet cartridges than BB cartridges..
love seeing your pics and interested in what you think of each model

I retired a couple years ago and my wife and I live very comfortably on about half the income before retirement but enjoy life twice as much. Some folks may not realize but working for a living costs money. Things like gas, clothing and lunches ad up. Snacks and coffee breaks via vending machines. It all adds up.
Having to prioritize what needs and wants to be done at home within the amount of time you are home was the worse part of it for me. Having to do things when you didn't feel like doing them at that particular time was terrible and often times just got neglected.
Now I do things when I want to do things. And I find that I do a much better job doing them. I don't just rush through them.
