I just got my Nomad from Pyramid and unfortunately the unit will not go beyond 1500 psi. At 1500 the unit would shut off and an "L" would display on the LCD screen. I contacted AV directly and they informed me the "L" on the readout ment low voltage and I should try a different outlet. I've used several outlets without the use of any extension cord and the unit will still have the same outcome. I've even tried using it directly from my vehicles 12v battery and that didn't seem to help. If anyone here has any ideas I can do to fix this instead of getting a refund? Thanks

It could be the converter and not the compressor. First is the switch on the compressor on the correct voltage? Also what was the number on the Load gauge before it gave you the "L".

I don't think it was the inverter. I had the unit plugged in directly to my trucks 12v battery and I got the same problem. The load at the time it kept stopping was 24.

And if your auto shut off is set correctly and it's lubed sounds like your going to have to ship it back. That stinks. Were you filling a gun or just using your dead head to check pressure? I got mine on Monday and have just done pressure check with dead head my rifle is suppose to be here next week.

I was using it to top off my Marauder from 2200 to 3000 psi. I was going to have it exchanged for another one but it looks like they're on preorder again. I ain't waiting several months for a new one. I may have to order a tuxing or a yo heng for now.

Seems that the unit is faulty. May be the calibration of the voltage measurement part is off. Was the engine of your truck running when the Nomad is hooked to the battery ? In a demo video, they kept the engine of the car running in order not to drain the battery empty.

Sorry to hear that. I don’t have a compressor yet, but looks like the yong heng for the price point is more reliable and have fewer mechanical problem. Why you give a shot on those compressor from Mrod air? They seem to be very well made.

IIt does everything you're videos shows, but it starts to struggle when it hits about 1200 psi at 1500 it completely stops. I tried moving the shut of psi to 3500 psi to see if that works but still the same outcome.

I just got one today. I’ve aired up my streamline twice, it had no issues going from 110 to 230 bar. It took about 2 min, now I can get a bottle gun or big bore

I would have asked for an exchange because I really like tge fact that its portable and doesn't need an external water source to keep it cool. But as the website shows they are on preorder. I may take a chance and call them to see if they have a spare for situations such as this.

Well...seems that will have to wait until the jury is out on the Nomad compressor...which been planing to buy.

Well, I got lucky—or so I hope—found a Nomad on eBay and the compressor ought to show up any day.
Am new to this pcp air gun stuff, so have quite a learning curve to tackle. The last thing I need is equipment that fails right off the box, so am hoping the Nomad performs as have seen on videos.
As for a rifle...opted to buy a Gaunlet, fully modded by Mr. Hajimoto himself, so I know it will perform splendidly; have absolute confidence it will be a top-notch instrument! This gentleman is a genius!
The rifle should arrive not long after the compressor, so will give me time to familiarize myself with its operation, as well as what other equipment will be required...

I'm just waiting for a report about using one while connected directly to a car battery without the engine running. After three or four refills, you might not be able to start your engine. We all need to remember, the real power source is the alternator!
