Review of new Weihrauch HW95 .22

As the result of a recent post http://www.airgunnation.com/topic/help-me-decide-22-beeman-r9-or-22-diana-rws-48-air-rifle-to6-trigger/
and with the help of a friend, I decided on "none of the above" and chose the HW95 .22 instead

My frame of reference is a 28 year old RWS 34 in 177

What I like about the HW95:
  1. It is short and light for its intended purpose
  2. Has enough power for what I need it for, pest control, plinking in the backyard.
  3. Cocking is SMOOTH and easy (this is probably the best thing about it)
  4. Fit and finish are outstanding
  5. No need to "break it in"
  6. Less expensive than the Beeman, why spend more for the same performance?
  7. Has open sights
  8. it is accurate with open sights, as you can see from the attached 8.5 x 11 inch target.(bullseye center is about 1 inch in diameter.)

  9. bench rested, held with one hand, rested on my back porch railing.

Yes, it has twang and it makes a "boing" sound when shooting, but who the F cares? That is part of owning a springer, All I care about is power and accuracy, which it has.
Now that the gun has proven it itself with the open sights, I will probably buy a Hawke and will post a separate question about that.
