As the result of a recent post http://www.airgunnation.com/topic/help-me-decide-22-beeman-r9-or-22-diana-rws-48-air-rifle-to6-trigger/
and with the help of a friend, I decided on "none of the above" and chose the HW95 .22 instead
My frame of reference is a 28 year old RWS 34 in 177
What I like about the HW95:

My frame of reference is a 28 year old RWS 34 in 177
What I like about the HW95:
- It is short and light for its intended purpose
- Has enough power for what I need it for, pest control, plinking in the backyard.
- Cocking is SMOOTH and easy (this is probably the best thing about it)
- Fit and finish are outstanding
- No need to "break it in"
- Less expensive than the Beeman, why spend more for the same performance?
- Has open sights
- it is accurate with open sights, as you can see from the attached 8.5 x 11 inch target.(bullseye center is about 1 inch in diameter.)
- bench rested, held with one hand, rested on my back porch railing.

Yes, it has twang and it makes a "boing" sound when shooting, but who the F cares? That is part of owning a springer, All I care about is power and accuracy, which it has.
Now that the gun has proven it itself with the open sights, I will probably buy a Hawke and will post a separate question about that.
