Yes, I did that first. Was not enough tension for reliable reset on the trigger. I ended up just clipping 1.5 turn off the spring and this gives me about 1.5 lbs. on 1st stage. For the secondary sear, I found just the right spring in one of my carb rebuild kit ( quadra jet). Overall it's breaking under 2#, but I don't like the long creep. I may grind the secondary sear so it drops earlier. Is there a better way to get the trigger springs than Ebay, Someone said something about a pen spring, Just took a pen apart and spring is 4.2 mm dia, and its plenty long, to make 8mm length, May need another spring for the 15mm spring , anyone else try this ,, I am pretty all thumbs working on guns , but it seems simple,,,

what do you think about reshaping the wood grip into a bird's head like the Ruger Wrangler? I attached a picture of the Ruger Wrangler just in case you are not familiar with the shape.. would that work? also I have never seen, so I don't know anything about the laminated color grips, seems like they would be stronger being laminated to reshape into bird's head since it would be down pretty small at the bottom.. so assume that you had a blue laminate one,if you reshaped it and then sanded it and polyurethane it, would it look good? would it still have the blue laminate look?Took the stock off for preliminary look. I think it would be easier to make a new upright wood grip rather than making an adapter for AR style grip. With an adapter, the trigger will be out of position (too high). It's right at 12 inches OAL.

yes I don't get it.. guns used to come standard with open sights and you can always add a scope since everything has either picayinny rail or dovetail..If they'd just instrument that on the rear you'd have something ..
Just dt shows these manufacturers or designers never use the product or probably a gun and got no clue ..lol
I have pistol with front adjustable sight and also has rear adjustable ( 1 click is 1/10mm at 10m . ).
Then folks pay 1000's for guns with no way to aim them at all.
It about keep buying . If your gun was capable out of the box then your not buying all the crap to make it ..lolyes I don't get it.. guns used to come standard with open sights and you can always add a scope since everything has either picayinny rail or dovetail..
for me a pistol needs to be 12" or less and open sights, otherwise it's just too bulky for a holster.. and I thought the whole point in a pistol was to be able to carry it in a holster..
but along the same topic, just look at pyramid air PCP guns.. like you said thousands of dollars and not even a option for open sights.. you are hard pressed to find a gun with open sights especially rifles..
between no open sights and pistol too large for a holster it dampens my interest in air guns..

Yes can be done, but OAL will be about 13+ inches. I'll see if my nephew can 3D print one when he gets back from Switzerland this holiday season.or do you think there's anyone who can print a hand grip that was either bird's head or at style with the trigger guard so it would just screw right on?
course I don't know anything about 3D printing either..
Mark
so something like this that you have laid out but possibly a little bit shorter grip? or easily shortened grip, being 3D printed could always file and sand I suppose.. I have small hands and I honestly don't mind on my derringer putting my little finger below the hand grip.. but also on guns with hard trigger pull i have found i pull shots.. might sound weird but I have been able to put my trigger finger along the side of the action and use my second finger.. and I find on the hard trigger pull that I don't pull shots using the second finger..Took the stock off for preliminary look. yes but worse yet.. pretty much all of the PCO that doesn't come with open sights, there's no option to even buy some that will work.. most there's no way to attach a front sight.. I have a Williams rear sight but it won't do any good if you don't have a front sight..It about keep buying . If your gun was capable out of the box then your not buying all the crap to make it ..lol
Like PcP to me means pay continue paying .
Spend 500+$ up to 2000 and the gun can't even be shot unless you buy more stuff to make it .. ( a sighting / optics or compressor or it's so awkward made / starwars/ tactikool you can't shoot it shouldered so rests or pods )
And pay 1000's for that .. lol. From a mile away..lol
seriously the main reason I still have interest in PCP air guns is they are usually somewhat quiet.. doesn't matter where I live if I take out my spring break 22, PCP, 22lr or something larger..It about keep buying . If your gun was capable out of the box then your not buying all the crap to make it ..lol

also I forgot to mention that I have both standard 22lr single six, and then a Ruger bearcat and the Wrangler.. the standard single six has a much larger grip than the bearcat and Wrangler and I always go for the smaller grip guns.. I know that I haven't shot the single six in 5 years.. but the others I have been shooting with aguila colibri ammo or CCI 22 short CB ammo and they are pretty good.. almost like a PCP pistol.. around 500 fps.so something like this that you have laid out but possibly a little bit shorter grip? or easily shortened grip, being 3D printed could always file and sand I suppose.. but this design is still in need of a trigger guard and the second screw attachment..
I don't have a reximex yet but I'm thinking about it if it can be close to 12" overall..
so would could you show me like a rough outline of how it would be shaped? because I know it has to fit where the mounts are.. I handled a friend's yesterday, it was the plastic stock and but stock with scope and moderator.. as a pistol I'd prefer the grip to be the same thickness as the breach and then a much smaller hand grip I personally don't care for the flat taper sticking back where your palm is..Yes can be done, but OAL will be about 13+ inches. The quality leaves a lot to be desired for me. It functions okay as is. Pyramid Air should have basic spares once out of warranty, or you can get from EU vendors as it's been out for a long time over there branded as the Reximex Mito. You can also order spare tanks as it can be removed and replaced under pressure.so would could you show me like a rough outline of how it would be shaped? because I know it has to fit where the mounts are.. also what is your thoughts on the quality of the reximex? and are parts easily available? seals and valves and such that go bad?
thank you

do you know if anyone that can make and 3 d print one?Since I'm between projects right now and waiting on parts, I resurrected to Reximex pistol project. Cut some aluminum bar stock and sketched rough layout so I can start hogging out extra mat'l to lighten it. Plan is to use 1911 grip panels. Also I opened it to show my trigger job on it. Shoe return spring cut 1.5 coil off, secondary sear block spring I got off my Q-jet rebuild kit, and I ground the secondary sear to drop early. Hardly any noticeable creep now.

what do you plan on doing for the trigger guard? I'm assuming that you are going to make it a separate piece?Since I'm between projects right now and waiting on parts, I resurrected to Reximex pistol project. I will make a separate piece and attach to the rear grip, this is to reduce machining time as it could be made from one solid blank.what do you plan on doing for the trigger guard? I'm assuming that you are going to make it a separate piece?
I understand your concern, but Your choice of sights comes down to your intended purpose. I am a very experienced pistol shooter and there are reasons to have fixed pistol sights. Think short range, concealment and comfortable carry. Then there is rapid target acquisition pesting where a reflex sight is ideal. Then there is pistol competitions where adjustable iron sights are mandated and reigns supreme. Then there are those pistol owners that cannot shoot a pistol accurately. They mount scopes and shoulder stocks. Your call.yes I don't get it.. guns used to come standard with open sights and you can always add a scope since everything has either picayinny rail or dovetail..
