Rifle Anodizing and Paint

My son needed a test piece to try his ceracoat kit. I gave him a shroud to practice.

Nice looking guns. I use the word “paint“ referring to the cerekotes, duracoat etc.

Glem - Is the duracoat simple to use?

Yes very, no need to sandblast or oven cure but it needs around 3 weeks to reach full hardness. Can assemble and shoot the next day though just take it easy.

Fair enough about the paint, some people do it haha.

I did Duracoat to some parts of mine...

Glem, where did you source the Duracoat kit? I saw your pictures in progress back months ago but cannot recall seeing a spray gun. Have you tried curing with ultraviolet bulbs?

Looks like a nice winter project for me, when it hits me in Toronto the winter lasts a good six months, this year a snow melted in May.

I got it from them direct, you can either get aerosol cans with the hardener in the bottom kind. Or straight paint to use with a gun, yeah I don't have a spray gun.
