Rifle sling for Taipans?

I have a Veteran Standard, and put a stud in the forend for a Harris bipod. If I hunt with it, I'll put another in the toe of the stock and use a cotton GI sling, my favorite. I'll remove the rear stud when shooting from a bench, or other target shooting.

That sounds logical. The generous attachment points near the heel R5 and Lelya have spoiled the crap out of me. I hook into them with my padded BF sling with their coated wire QD loop that I can quickly disconnect with a buckle on the end. I'm probably going to snug a nylon belt around the rear of the stock with a buckle offset a little so it sits flush on the side of the stock, then plug into it with my sling. It works in my mind, but IDK 🤷‍♂️

Apparently I bought one of those earlier in the year LOL..

Just a weee bit close to my optic for my liking though.

I don't like the idea of my sling being so close to my optics, I was testing the Magpul rail ring and found several ways for it to get hung up on my PTL and eyepiece. Trekking through mountainous terrain would cause issues sooner or later for me, I just don't get "lucky" when I gamble like that at all 😭

Had another idea, very simple and minimalist using stuff that I'm fairly expert with already. I have about a 1/2 mile of Dyneema cord and about twice that of tough mountaineering paracord. I think I can come up with a solid attachment setup that I'm gunning for with the cordage. I have the physical height where I can have these bullpup PCPs hang straight down off my double to single point padded sling.

I'll have to test that out and see if I can get it positioned with the attachment point on the side so it doesn't get in the way of the buttpad, but I think I can sort that out. It'd be another way to transport emergency cordage anyway lol. I'll post some photos if it works out well enough.

& it centered the balance point of gun - it appears that it touches the scope but there is a lot of room made out of 3/16 rod

Has your POI moved using the sling attachment on the rail? The rail seems very solid but I can imaging walking/moving and holding the gun’s weight on one point, makes me think that eventually it’ll move.
