Ringneck Dove and Notos

Took this one with stock Notos, just zeroed it at 35 yards and dove was only 10 yards so aimed at chest with 1st hash mark. Should have aimed more left but he's down. Flew about 10 feet and dropped. From now on head shots. Always did head shots until recently and just would rather them drop immediately. First pic is point of impact and second is exit. The others are happy kitties

The notos will definetely get it done

Depends on the rules and their knowledge of the ever changing rules on Migratory birds and how bent to enforce it they are. Because apparently you have to police discussion on forums to cya. (cough cough supressors)

Short of it is some federal rules and Migratory birds that often vary by state. Don't worry I was just warning because I've see it happen here before on dove.

Fwiw I don't care if we shoot every single Eurasian dove in north america.

Thanks for the heads up but here in Arizona ringneck doves are in season year-round, any other kind of dove has a set season
