Rings for a 40mm scope?

I am going to put a scope with a 40mm objective and a 1" tube on my HW30. Before I screw up again, I thought that I better ask here. Are medium height rings high enough or should get high rings?

Are ring heights standardized in the various brands?

Medium should be fine. If you are going with a medium to high magnification scope you may want droop compensating mounts.
