I have an Athlon Midas Tac 4-16x44 that has been laying about the house for over a year, waiting for a rifle. (It is an irritating scope, it drinks liquor all day and chain smokes. I really must put it to work, to curb these bad habits.)

Luckily, I have found a Daystate Huntsman Revere regulated rifle to mount it on.

Before I fiddle with it I was wondering what rings (and sizes) others may be using on their Revere's, to clear the new, higher magazine.

Thank you, for any suggestions.

I pulled out the huntsman and I didn't use those rings....I am sorry for the bad info, I used a cheap set of high rings and they work perfect....

There is plenty of room for the magazine and if I remember medium rings were to short. Once the scope was mounted it was easy to get all setup and sighted in. Yes my rifle needs a good wipe down....It was dusty out there at the vineyard.

Thank you. I was just interested to see what it would take to clear the newer magazine. I have a set of Sportsmatch high rings (HT036C) about, and will give them a try first. If that does not work I will probably go with the Sportsmatch extra high (ATP61). I see this rifle as being set up for no more than 50 yards, so should not need the extra adjustability.

This was the first time taking this rifle out hunting, but it will be set up for FT after I get to Arizona...Right now scope is sighted in at 50 yards and my longest squirrel schwack was 73 yards with it on Saturday in some wind....very easy rifle to shoot all shots were 53-73 yards from bucket and sticks or me sitting on the ground and sticks

For anyone interested, the Sportsmatch HT036C rings fit, allowing sufficient clearance for the new magazines. I thought I ordered a 25 caliber version, but a 177 caliber version arrived. I am very pleased, though. I also did good on the walnut stock lottery,...

You did win the stock lottery!!!!! I shot mine again this past weekend and got 3 squirrels from 45-55 yards with it...hunting was soooo slow Mike (Centercut) and I were shooting at an orange 98 yards away in the wind...Second shot was a hit.....and with the small 0DB moderator it is sooooooooo quiet....You will love the rifle!!!!!!

You did win that lottery! My stock is nice, but that’s a true winner.
