RM100 just arrived

Direct from David Slade has come an Impact RM100 (rebranded Theoben Crusader). David did some trigger work on it for me and it's very nice. Smooth first stage and crisp break at about a pound trigger pull. Very small blemish atop of the breech block (as @RM100guy states "a fly spec on a Mona Lisa" - LOL...if it drives me nuts I'll get that area re-blued but otherwise almost a perfect airgun. I can tell that it hasn't fired many pellets because the cocking action is tight and a little stiff but very smooth. Cocking effort is, well, for men, wimps need not apply. Shoots ver nicely with very little sound. Beautiful Walnut stock. I will need to get a scope mounted and zero'd in. Some photos:

Thanks for the kind words,@yonyb. The RM is very nice and the walnut stock is superb. I've heard all sorts of stories about Theoben and then Impact. Seems to happen to small. businesses all the time and to big businesses too for that matter. I thought I wanted an easy to cock air gun but this baby takes more effort than tour run of the mill airgun. It's not perfect, a couple of very small rust freckles on the breech block only. I touched them up with some Oxpho blue and oiled 0000 steel wool. If I keep the gun I may get that area re-blued because of my OCD. At this point it's a fly spec on the Mona Lisa. There are few older guns that are safe queens especially the rare ones like this one.

Again really superb. Even if someone could attempt a “failing clone” with a beach stock, it would probably beat out most of today’s gas rams. I did pick up an hw90 that I like, but I need to shoot it better before I review it. I’m finding the lighter JSB 15.9 grns to work fairly well, but most of the HN pellets supposedly accurate in the model- not so for me

Does the RM 100 use a walther lothar barrel? When you get a chance I’m curious to your accuracy findings. As a teenager I found the R10/HW80 easier to shoot accurately….at least until the Sudan sun heated up the barrel. I’m sure I’m a bit of the weak link on the gas ram cycle firing and follow through. I love the feel though! Anyways, congrats Bill and may you shoot the RM100 as good as it looks!! Enjoy

Yep, it has the Walther Lothar barrel. It's got a pretty firm cocking stroke (not for weaklings LOL) but very smooth. Shooting is very smooth too. I've been away in Hawaii for awhile and haven't gotten it scoped up yet but once I do I'll let you know about accuracy. I expect it to be pretty goo though. Fit and finish is superb. I happen to like gas rams - I had an RX2 for awhile and regret selling it.
