RMAC 2020 - Big Announcement!

Once again...we couldn’t be happier and more thankful for the success of the 2019 Rocky Mountain Airgun Challenge. We can’t thank everyone enough for supporting our vision from day one. RMAC wouldn’t be possible without the many sponsors and volunteers that have invested time, money and energy into supporting the airgun community and this competition.

We are 100% committed to growing the sport of airgunning across the globe and putting on the biggest airgun competition in the world. One huge announcement that was made at RMAC was the integration of an airgun class into the National Rifle League (NRL). This is a HUGE step into expanding the sport and coming up with an organized scoring/ranking system. Thank you to the NRL for working with us to make this dream a reality.

Now for the most exciting news……….RMAC 2020 will be HUGE!! We are still recovering from this event, but already have our sights set on next year. We have learned so much from the past two years and are committed to making sure RMAC 2020 is even bigger and better. Our sponsors were so pleased with how this year went that we already have commitments enough to raise the total prize pool.

Are you sitting down now?? The Grand Prize for 1st Place in the RMAC 100 Benchrest 2020 (Pro Class) will be:

* $20,000.00 *

We understand having a grand prize figure like this will change the sport of airgunning forever. Though the money is a big deal, our primary goal is to grow the sport and interest in airgunning without taking away from the fun. Many things will be changing in the coming months across the field of airgun competition events. Stay tuned for a central ranking & scoring system so all qualified shooters will have the opportunity to compete for money, pride, and fun!

Thank you again to everyone that participated and helped in the 2019 Rocky Mountain Airgun Challenge! We will be seeing you next year at:

Everyone was welcome and free to sign up for the Pro Class and compete for the bigger prize money this past year. Just like any sport (Baseball, Basketball, Football, Golf, Archery, etc.) the bigger prize money will always go to the Pro's. We hope to see all of you competing in the Pro Class next year. Hopefully this makes sense, I think we were pretty fair in what we awarded our Sportsman Class winners this year. Next year will be even better for all!

It was great meeting you Jim! I appreciate your feedback and we will take it to make RMAC and other events the best possible experience for airgunners. Thank you for your service as well. I think this will open a lot more opportunity for "amateurs" to have competitions to shoot and be able to progress in the sport. We are super excited to be tied in with the NRL which will open up a ton of avenues for airgunners to meet each other and compete. No offense was taken and no offense was meant by my post either. I really hope to see you at next years RMAC and maybe even some other competitions around the country before hand (hopefully)! Thanks Jim! - Austin

Don't let the pro class scare you. There were some first time competitors who did really well in the pro class and they didn't shoot that much during the year. Knowing how to shoot into the wind will have even the pros scratching their heads :) Since I am a dealer, I am automatically thrown in there with the wolves in the pro class but I think I am getting better and better each year. At EBR last year I was second to last for my group. At RMAC, I was 7th in my group. So I am happy with my improvements :) Like Austin said, everyone has a chance to win the big prize. Practice and put on your game face at the next 2020 RMAC!

Wow !! Great news and congrats on getting a NRL deal worked out. I was heading to Rio next Tuesday for the NRL match because Vudoo Gunworks is going to be there with some or their .22LR I wanted to test drive. I just might bring my airgun now! I was bummed not being able to attend the RMAC this year, but already blocked out my calendar for next year.
