Wow ...to bad us little fish dont get that type of prize just the PRo's but are we not the ones the industry is looking for to build it ?
Just saying
Sarge
I totally agree...
I remember watching an interview with Jay Leno. He was telling this story where he pumped some gas, and when he wanted to pay, the guy behind the counter said, "Oh No, it is on me!" The point Leno was trying to make, is that now that he is famous and loaded, everyone wants to give him free stuff, but where were all these people when he was broke and need it. : )
Same here. 90% of all airgun pros are showing up
already, so increasing the price money [for them] is going to do what exactly!? This is not Las Vegas. People are not going to come in flocks to see
someone else win $20,000 dollars. : ).
Do not get me wrong. Increasing the price money is a good thing, but it should be for the
"regular" folks and not for the pros. Actually, both would be great. The Pros and Amateurs.
For the pros, an event like this pays for itself
and it is a great way to make "extra" money. Trust me, the price money is just the "lemon next to the pie"! Someone that has hundreds of thousands of YouTube subscribers makes "big bucks" posting a single video, mentioning a product, wearing a certain T-Shirt and so on. Some Pros even ask for people to support them through Patreon. Really!? I can see this happening when you start out, but to continue to do so after you already have a huge following is somewhat not right. But hey, that is a different story.
On top of that, the Pros get all the perks already. Utah airguns totally takes care of them, including letting them stay at their home (s).
AGAIN! THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH ALL OF THIS. I am fully aware of how Pros, Celebrities and what not are being treated. I get it. It is the high Roller that gets the Mega Suite and the Rolls Royce. But it is also him who lost $100 million dollars, ha ha.
The Non-pro guy has to pay for everything himself. I am sure not all of them, but 99% of them. They have to pay for a rental car, flight, hotel, food and everything else in between. Not to mention taking time off from work and not getting paid. By the time you add all this up, it is not "worth" (money wise) to come and participate in an event like this.
Make it "worth" for the "regular" guy to come out and watch your event
skip the next level and go right to the one after that, ha ha.
Thanks,
Kmd
p.s. As always, do
not forget to leave me "negative" feedback just because you do not like what I have to say. : )
