How about daily recap or results for today? Wondering how benchrest, and the rest is going.

I know y’all are having a ball, someone should be sober enough to get results posted :)

I can sum it up with one word: windy!

Wishing you luck Gino. I'm thinking you'll be using a modified Veteran in at least one of the sections!

Thank you sir! I opted for the 40gr Griffin RBTs around 1000FPS for the slug event, but I kind of screwed up when I chose to swap around optics last minute (using the 7-35). There just wasn't enough time to get a bench to do a proper zero that morning. They only allotted an hour to zero that morning, and the benches were full by the time I got there. I also didn't realize that it was a "bring your own targets" thing at the practice range)!

So ultimately, I wound up hitting more of the long range targets than close range, until I figured out my hold under points 😭

Just curious, but looking at the final 100 yrd benchrest scores, The Pro class was won with a 228-10x and the winner got $21,000 prize. The sportsman class winner shot a 229-6x and only got $2,500.

Am I missing something here, but it seems like the sportsman class top shooter outshot the Pro class? Or is there some difference in the way the different classes shoot to make it appear that way?

Either way, they all shot a whole lot better than I could ever do. So Congrats to all of them. Great shooting, and I'm very much enjoying all the videos.

They're not shot at the same time so conditions are different and it's not necessarily apples to apples. That said, many skip Sportsman and sign up for the Pro Class. Hope that helps.

All the shooters had to shoot two qualification cards, and the top 20 Pro (out of 100) and the top 18 (Sports out of 60) advanced to the finals. FYI, the Sportsman did not shoot at the same time as the Pro Class, they shot their cards prior to the Pro Class. Apples and Oranges with wind conditions. Look at the qualification scores shot by Pro and Sportsman in Relay 1, 2, and 3, at the same time but at a different range only 200 yards away, shooting in same general direction. Only two of the Sportsman would have even qualified for the Pro finals… Not to take anything away from their scores, they certainly were impressive in that the Finals…
