I have only been shooting the standard round head type of pellets offered by JSB. For those of you that have shot the wadcutter style of pellet, other than cutting a easier hole to read, is it any more accurate?
Wad cutters are super accurate for close range but are normally unstable at long range. They are used in the 10m Olympic competition so they must be accurate.
Wadcutter pellets are best suited for 10m shooting. As the distance increases, their accuracy decreases. Not sure what the max distance is that they are accurate to, but it's not far. Perhaps 20 yards.
most flat nose/wadcutters dont do well at high speeds either . the uk boys probably get good knockdown power with them in sub 12 ftp guns out to 20 yards max .
