Curious. Did it come from Tony (Talon)? What speed do you see if you increase the hammer 1/2 turn and open the valve adjuster and does it get loud with the valve adjuster opened. Wondering if the adjuster is stuck…

maybe the importer has stuck a sub 12 tune on it :eek:

will have another play when the temp comes up a bit,well below freezing at the moment

- build like a tank and very high quality machining
- very smooth shot cycle
- binary valve makes it pretty ease to tune
- stable regs when adjusted correctly. To big of a difference between 1st and 2nd reg will introduce reg creep.
- very good balance point right in front of the hand grip. Making it pretty easy to shoot it off hand
- all critical parts and wearable parts are easily accessible. Like 2nd reg, hammer and spring, firing valve, trigger mechanism.
- all the adjustments can be made without taking the rifle apart.
- big 700cc 300bar bottle as standard.
- soft touch grip
- comes with a heavy duty case, Carbon Hush50 compensator, 2 mags and long bottom rail.
- able to adjust 2nd stage reg up and down under pressure
- 20 to 150MOA adjustable scope rail
- when tuned correctly, very low noise level. Even without moderator

Cons
- for a bullpup its pretty heavy.
- the rubber buttplate comes off to easily. I lost it ones already.
- no way to adjust length of pull (for me its a little to long)
- cocking handle on the left side (takes a little getting used to)
- takes quit a long time before completely shot in. About 1500 slugs. First the barrel really fault up fast and i needed to clean it regularly. Now the barrel stays nice and clean.

When it comes to accuracy i'd say its very accurate. At least its way more accurate than i can shoot.

Mine is shooting ZAN .25 37gr slug at around 980FPS
I'm getting around 60 fully regulated stable shots out of one fill with the reg set at 134bar. With a spread of 10 and std dev 1.9

You can change the length of pull by turning the trigger block around. But you need to disassemble the front and upper...

it was supplied set at 140 bar and with the hammer plate blocked off and anti tamper screws fitted which on an fac gun doesnt seem right.

have tried droogmoles set up procedure and even at 185 bar it only gets 940 fps with 217 34g.

suggestions on what i can try or should look at next much appreicated

The nut on mine (above) looks different to yours.

Speed and muzzle report should increase as you turn it out, because valve dwell is increased.

it looks as if the center part is different now,you adjust this one with 6mm allen key or metal rod through the holes,its too stiff to turn with your fingers.
if its turned out more, speed drops and noise goes up,maybe too much air going out slowing slug

Mine was one of the first sold. Current models also have the valve knob, as shown on RTI website. I’ve never seen one that doesn’t have it.

Did anything else also change on the Mora? I've seen Mora's with a shorter cocking handle, different grip, shorter or shifted shroud and different endcap on the muzzle.

As far as velocity dropping when opening the valve dwell time screw. For as far as i know this shouldn't be possible with this type of valve. When fully open, the noise level should go way up and accuracy should go down. These are good indicators for determining if the valve is closing fast enough or not.

i think the different grips are what some have changed too,

the muzzle endcaps look different depending on if the moderator is fitted or not.

todays testing will be trying it at 140 bar and see what speeds can be attained,
although the first time i tried it at 140 bar it would only average 850fps

seem to be going backwards from first time out with the 34g

mora 34g 2nd reg 140 bar 40 shots to go from 300 bar fill to 200 bar

turned the dwell in from fully out one turn every 5 shots,went south on the last 5

doesnt do as well speed wise as gregors one,and im using more bars,longer barrel but its just as accurate even with the low speed
