RTI MORA...Your Worse Nightmare

If its a good value or not depends not only on FPE, but on the accuracy desired as well. If you can't hit your target, FPE doesn't matter! Does your lower cost .357 match the accuracy of the Mora?
There is no other .357 on the market with real world specifications, accuracy, as the Mora. The Mora .357 has a magazine able to handle very long slugs and has real world proof of shooting big slugs at over 920 FPS with 1" MOA and has a much more quality build, features like the integrated moderator and more. I believe this person claiming he as a .357 with better value has the new Benjamin .357 which is NOT as powerful as the HAM review stated, "the manufacturer claims 300 FPE maximum but their test they could only get 269 foot pounds, it has a poor design rear cocking, a magazine that cannot handle long slugs, and is one of the ugliest rifles out there. That is not a rifle in the same build quality as the RTI at all. If you are looking for a powerful .357 that is well made, accurate, designed to shoot slugs but can also shoot pellets that is fun to shoot for plinking and deadly powerful for hunting I do not think there is a better rifle out there out of the box that can rival the Mora .357.

From my perspective, the Hush has a perforated inner tube that is too small in ID at 10 mm. There is too much dense felt in the peripheral space, so the open air space in the moderator is too small to be effective. In my opinion, these are fundamental problems that a smaller endcap bore will not fix.

I have to admit the solid core wrapped in 1 layer of felt moderator on my Vulcan 3 worked just fine.
But yeah it is not a design i would buy into, that is for damn sure

My old moderator, actually made for PB so 22 LR and 17 HMR no problem, it too have a solid core, but with stripping chambers along the way / length of it.
Work just fine for .22 and .177 air rifles.
Sort of like my Huma moderators modular build, though no solid core, which is also OK as it is after all a airgun only moderator.

So i will take a cheaper Mora with no " ghetto " moderator, and then add my own, which here = not insignificant amounts of paper pushing.
And in the end probably make the ready to go Mora more expensive.

Time will tell, TBH i am not much for getting more of the same in a slightly different shape, but of course tied to one caliber your choices are even more limited

I think the RTI page do say choked barrels for .177, which of course in larger calibers do not mean anything negative.
TBH i feel a bit perplexed of the whole situation.
Also cant but help thinking i am buying a very powerful rifle, where i can only tap into 1/3 of it thanks to my benevolent overlords, but still paying the full price,,,,,,,, and thoughts like that do make me feel a little cheated and or stupid.

Fortunately i am not going shopping anytime soon, CUZ i just blew some of my savings on the NV sight

Talking to my fellow Randucian ( Name for people living in the town of Randers ) Viking airgunner / Peter, his experiment with LW barrels on his M3 was a huge and very expensive failure.
So relying on somehow being able to down the road getting a better barrel and get that machined to fit a rifle, that aint going to happen this side of a major lotto win, and with such a win i would move to a place that would let me shoot what i want to shoot, and only punish me if / when i misuse that trust.

Considering we all have a different idea of what 'loud' is, I'll just say I thought the loudness was at an appropriate volume for the power being output. And I have to give the platform credit for how easily this power level in .25 is to tap into. All that was necessary was:
- Adjust regulator up.
- Adjust hammer spring 1/2 turn past where the valve would just fully fire.
- Adjust valve for fps.
Now I'm not experienced tuning balanced valve airguns. But between the Mora and my Epic Two the above seems to be the way it works. Hammer spring just needs to be enough to open the valve and not much more is gained for more hammer spring past that point. I add the + 1/2 turn to overcome any potential first shot stiction issues - but I haven't seen that in the Mora like I have sometimes in the Epic.

Also, my first 6 shots out at 100 yards were within the 1" center ring but for 1 shot that dropped 2" down and to the right. I wasn't able to repeat that tight a grouping again but everything was within 2" at 100 yards. And there's much more I haven't adjusted, and waiting until guidance is out there, such as the barrel locking / free-floating ring nut and the probe depth adjustment. OOTB it is a solid airgun. I'll try to update again after some more trigger time.
Hey new member here and i just ordered the mora in .25 sniper 700mm. Hope this will be a big improvement from my fx impact mk2. You think i can get north of 120 fpe with the sniper?

My moderators work well.

A little delayed but time to post up some targets. I wasn't having a good day at 100 yards due to weird winds and my neck hurting, but the Mora was tight at 50 yards. Altaros .25 66gr @ ~880fps - target is 2"x2" and the central color ring is 3/8" - between 5-8 shots per target (wasn't really paying attention, just having fun).

Have to say, after owning for a couple months, shooting over 2000 slugs, the Mora .22 600mm continues to amaze. The quiet, ease and lack of drama slinging 40 grain Altaros at 75fpe. More sedate than my M3 shooting little Hades pellets. No slow first shots, no reg creep and a benchmark AG for accuracy in my collection of ~20.

I actually reached out to @kaylaindy here in the forum when he had his for sale and offered a lifetime of cleaning up leaves and dog poop for his. Hahahaha
