RTI RTI P-3 .25 bore dia. RPB-1 barrel

Had an incident tonight that led to an incidental bore slugging. Since I've not seen this, and it didn't come up in a search thought I'd post the info. Judging by the slightly more difficult to load and ring of lead in the breach area after the failure I do believe I had an oversize slug out of a box of NSA's. Slug lodged all but just out of the barrel. Turns out the barrels are stupid easy to remove and install, was a tad concerned as there is a barrel removal tool but not necessary if one has decades worth of mechanicin tools laying around. Anywho, the answer is .247".
I've not slugged many air rifle barrels an no .25's before so this strikes me as a tad snug. Could explain the good accuracy with numerous slugs but needing higher reg pressures than anticipated to reach desired velocities.

LOL...without getting into detail...happened to me too.
The P3 performance in .22 was slugged at .2161
We learn a lot form those incidents/accidents 😜
