Trying to decide which caliber to order it in. I’ve always been a .22 shooter for the most part but trying to get input on if one caliber seems to be more accurate than the other before I purchase. Thanks

I got the 22 Compact,Prophet II its a little power house gun, I also have 25, 30. and 177 barrels It is so simple and easy to change out barrels, I would say buy the 22 and then get the 25 barrel kit there's no way you can go wrong,

I love my .22lr I don’t mess with the 25 stuff anymore, the .22 is what I always end up liking the best so I’ve learned to just stay with it.
Whatever caliber you decide, the prophet is one very fine piece of equipment. You are going to enjoy it!

I’ve got a Compact and LR, both .22‘s. Compact for hunting and LR for bench but the compact sees a fair amount of bench shooting too

Mine is in .22 and was shooting really tight groups at 100 yards in preparation for EBR. 25gr RDs going out at 1040fps. Not that Arizona wind cares very much about my gun’s accuracy in No-Wind GA, but, I digress

I've got the amazing Prophet Compact Performance in 22, what a little powerhouse that can be dialed down in minutes if desired. That caliber works great and you can always move up very easily later if needed.

Have a .22 compact and waiting on one of the new LW barrels 20" in .22 to make my compact a slug/heavy pellet gun only. Looks like the 20" barrels are coming in Feb/March of next year. The 20" barrel will allow me to keep my compact shroud with about 1" extra space at end, but I also ordered a 24" shroud to use my baffles in.

I got a compact prophet II 510 mm barrel or 20" Its got the 20" shroud the barrel comes right to the end and it is LOUD , 22 caliber, I have a Tatsu moderator on it and its still the loudest gun I own, I shot it a few times with out the moderator on it and the wife came out the back door and ask me what the hell I was shooting, 1st time in 20 years, Its loud. 125 bar/ 18.13gr pellets 980FPS CZ barrel,

I just shot a 1.114" 5 shot group (lasered 102yds) with my Prophet II using H&N .218 21gr slugs. Amazing accuracy. First slugs I've tried shooting in it. I have several others I want to try.
Edit: That's an amazing deal on the Francisco gun!

What is the recommended diameter slugs for this gun? Might as well order a bunch of ammo too.

I would slug the barrel and see what your's measures at before ordering a bunch. No 2 barrels are 100% alike.

Slugs are as cheap as pellets at rti right now and the shipping is free while I’m ordering a gun. Will probably just order a variety since I have a Vulcan 3 and a FX that I will be trying too.

I had some H&N .218 21 gr slugs when mine arrived. I slugged the barrel and measured with 2 micrometers on 2 different slugs. One slug measured .216, and the second one measured .2165. So I ordered an assortment of different weight .217 NSA's. Hoping to do some more testing with them when the wind dies down.
