UPS now charges for a box or plastic bag to ship free Amazon returns so keep the box you recieve stuff in so you can return and not get charged $4.18 for a plastic bag. . I am guessing the box price depends on the size box ?
So since received from two shipping cities i had to return to two places @ total $8.36 cost .

Interesting. My wife just made an Amazon return and they stressed that she should send it in the original box (which I had to go dig out of the recycling). I guess now I know why.

I am lucky as I am very close to a Amazon Fresh store where I drop returns off at. I used to use UPS but found out like you it costs us.....

Was this at a UPS Office or at a UPS store (independent)
The reason I ask is that the UPS store that I use does not charge as long as the item is able to have a stocker slapped onto it and put into canvas hamper that goes to Amazon

No cardboard box problems here, i have a big one i put smaller ones inside ( neatly folded up ) and then i recycle that big box when full in a few months or 6.
Some larger boxes i have saved CUZ handy when moving, or just for storing stuff in, and since i now am +1 decade into living in a 2 room apartment with just moving boxes for storage it is pretty fine.
Not hung anything on walls, have not even put up a single light here, so living room is 1 floor light and computer screen lit up, bedroom = darkness or a flashlight if i need to locate something in the several moving boxes in there.
bath / kitchen fitted with light when i arrived.
4.18 USD for a plastic bag That number in the local Kronor currency is just about 80 cents or so, and also the cost for a plastic bag when you go shopping.

I use to do all my returns to the UPS store, then maybe 6 months or so Amazon starting charging $1 for each returned item. We have a Kohl’s close to us & it‘s free there so that is where I’ve been doing my returns. The Kohl’s I go to has a dedicated counter in the rear of the store.

I save all my Airgun related boxes because many are unique sizes
