RWS RWS 48 vs Diana 48?

I have had a Diana 48 for several years now I have not had much opportunity to work with. Primarily because of moving and the fact it is not configured the way I want IRT sights. I acquired an Anchuetz rear the fits well and al though I can use it I want something with preferably the ability to accept an M14 front or at worst some globe front sight.

What I didn't know is with the RWS 48 rifles there are variations as to how the front sight mounts, I saw the variations are marked on the receivers. On my Diana there is not variation stamp, T06 or something similar.

So, the front sight mount on my rifle has the two cuts that appears to be the same as I found on the T01 RWS. I saw this thread but I don't see a solution... https://www.pyramydair.com/blog/2010/02/mounting-a-globe-front-sight-on-an-rws-485254/

Anyone come up with a fix?

I have been thinking of one of the clamp type bands as a solution https://www.ant-supplies.uk/rail-base-mounts/diopter-sight-muzzle-adapter-bases.html

Here are pictures of the Anschutz diopter and the HW globe on my 48.

HW and Diana front sights are not interchangeable. The Diana front sight is made of steel, the HW front sight is made of alloy, dovetails are also a little different. It is very likely that the HW front sight will not stay properly on the Diana dovetail. If the Anschutz diopter sight does not have a stop, like the Diana diopter sights, it is highly doubtful that it will work on the D48.

My front sight base is heavy metal (steel?)

The HW sight I have is made of steel and attaches easily to the dovetail on the barrel of my 48.

I have been thinking I may try to get another front sight base for my 48 and then cut a dovetail in the top of it to fit a M14 front blade. I shoot a lot of old US military rifles so that sight picture would be good for me for just home training.

BTW: I live in the Black Forest about 100km south of Stuttgart, Diana parts are not difficult to obtain I just need to know what to order. One of the guys in my shooting club is pretty good at working on air guns but he is not knowledgeable about mixing and matching parts...

Here are a couple of photos from a fest last sommer
