Are these guns scope friendly. I have a few vortex centerfire rifle scopes laying around just checking if I could use one of these on this rifle thank you all for your help

If you get a Diana Bullseye mount, you can use any scope with no worries. I believe the RWS 48 requires a good springer rated scope if you use a regular mount.

+ 1 what Jim said. The 48’s are not easygoing on scopes. I highly recommend a Bullseye mount .

I have a Vortex Crossfire 2 6-18 on my RWS48. Only put a few hundred pellets through it so far though. Ask again in a few months. I like it enough that I may order another just to keep a spare ready just in case I have to send it back at some point.

Depends on if it is tuned or not. The original spring has some vibration that has been known to kill cheaper scopes or scopes that are not springer rated. Sportsmatch also has one with rubber mounted within the one piece set up that helps a long, but the Diana Bullseye I think is cheaper. Either one will save your scope in my experience.

I have one;as other say use a good one piece scope mount and springer rated scope..plus mine needed a "beveled" mount because of barrel "sag".

Burris Signature Series are on my Diana 52, same rifle upgraded stock. Check out their wed site and beleive everything you read. Never a ring mark,droop adjustment is easy, never bend the tube with shims,windage adjustable too. I use these on all my collection. For extreme adjustments order optional + and - 20 plastic inserts. BTW, a place on the receiver for a stop pin is required.

I have a vortex Diamondback on my d48 in .22 with near 9,000 rounds-- no incident and no special mounts.

Like I mentioned before if you tune the gun, there is a difference. I have had several tuned 48's and never worried about scope mounts. Even the RWS 1 piece mount will work with no problems, and I tune mine for full power. But to be on the safe side, spending $30 more for a mount is much easier and less worry.

WOW! Haven't broke one yet, but I have heard of it happening. Never knew if they broke on a untuned gun or a tuned on.. The Vortex scope that I had on my 48 was a 4-12x40ao Diamondback. I did pay $299 for it. !/2 my tunes have been Vortek and the other 1/2 Maccari. I though the recoil on my HW80 with a Vortek Kit was worse than my 48.
