Hi. I just purchased an rws Diana model 45 in .177. I'm just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on what type of .177 caliber pellet would work best with it I know break barrels are picky with what type of pellets work best thank you
Hello Adam, many years ago, the RWS45 was my first springer and I always shot the RWS Super Dome pellets because at the time, they were very accurate. I think I also shot the Crosman Premier 7.9 grain pellets as well but this was back in 1983.Hi. I just purchased an rws Diana model 45 in .177. Thank you very much for the replyHello Adam, many years ago, the RWS45 was my first springer and I always shot the RWS Super Dome pellets because at the time, they were very accurate. I think I also shot the Crosman Premier 7.9 grain pellets as well but this was back in 1983.
Thank you very much I will definitely try out RWS pellets I just ordered a tin of Meisterkugeln pellets. My grandfather had a Diana model 45 and a Gamo Hunter 440 that we used to plink cans with so I have always had a connection to these two breakbarrels.Hi adam - the RWS 45 was also my first serious adult airgun. Absolutely wore that sucker out in the '80s. And then two days ago on a warm spring afternoon I pulled it off the rack for the first time in years and it was like travelling through the wayback machine. Hadn't shot it in a really long time, but the experience confirmed that it is still as fine a springer as anything in its niche. RWS Superdomes were the pellets that the vendors, Gerry and Carol Thomas, recommended and they were superb as were the 7.9 Premiers and H&N offerings. Today it seems to shoot well with any quality pellet, although you might want to try the RWS first.
enjoy your fine airgun!
