Picked up this S&W 78G at a small Maryland Gun Show today. Looks great overall. Not modified for the recall. "Q" serial series so probably 1978 production. Owner only wanted $50.00 for it so had to bite. Ordered the seals kit from JG Airguns.

Nice find! I've had one that was bought band new in the 70's. I resealed mine with a kit from Mac1 Airguns. Years of plinking fun!

Same here ,reseal kit from Mac's,that pistol feels so good,one of the better fitting pistols for me of all time,sorta modeled after their target Model 41.

I picked up two earlier this year, got them resealed. One is an earlier model with an adjustable trigger and it is really sweet, the other not quite as good, but still very nice. Best thing is that they feel similar in the hand to my S&W M41 target pistol.. The Crosman Mark I is also a nice gun

Initially found that the pistol would not hold the Co2 cartridge charge. I successfully replaced all the seals and poppet with the kit from JC Airguns. Took my time and learned a lot (with help from the net). Foremost is how impressive a design and build it is. It is a sweet shooter.
