Saber Tactical ST0031 Tank Valve

The support from the folks at Saber Tactical has been the best. I had a slight issue with a ST0031 tank valve, dropped them an email, the next business day FedEx advised a package was headed my way. Three days is all it took for Saber Tactical to respond and see the return my tank valve to normal service; all at no charge.

Their ST0031 is a very well designed tank valve with quality and backed with great service.

I just received mine and what a work of art!

I have one and like it a lot too, but it had issues when I got it. Fortunately I decided to try it in a 500cc tank I have, and I found three leaks on it. I leaked around the pressure gauge, the outlet foster fitting, and from the burst disc. I decided to fix it myself. It turned out that the burst disc itself was defective, so it took a replacement to fix that - and a second fill to realize the disc itself was defective. Saber sent me spare discs to replace the one of mine I had to use to get it running. But it would have really sucked to find out it leaked after filling the 9L tank I installed it on . . .

To be fair, both of mine needed to be tightened up too, also had a leaky burst disc, turns out it was missing an o-ring. So quality control was lacking, but customer service was excellent and quick.

A $200 fill assembly should be tested at the factory or by Saber Tactical before sending them to the customer. New fill assemblies sold by Airtanksforsale, Airhog, Stikman, and Omega haven't had leaking issues that I'm aware of. This is more like what can be expected from Aliexpress economy valves.

Does the purchase price of a Saber Tactical valve include a fill hose or is that a separate purchase? I've yet to see one pictured with a fill hose attached.

No fill hose included . . . and agree completely on the quality control points.

I almost purchased one, but the reviews were not very good.
Leaks as I recall.
Its really a shame, as I believe they are made in America, and were 4 times the price of Asian valves.
My problems were minor, and while they should have had zero problems, they were easily sorted. The valve is very nice, albeit expensive. My Stikman is equally high quality, at a similar price, but you still need a bottle valve.
