SABER TACTICLE TANK VALVE

It was kind of a non-issue in the end. The way the knob is secured on a threaded shaft, the knob was unthreading, rather than opening the valve. I added a star washer and all is well.

Hmmm, I wonder if that's what's going on with mine. When I open my valve, there's an initial friction, then almost a full turn of absolutely no resistance, then I hit a wall. Then I slooooowly turn from there to fill. It's like there's this weird dead space.

That sounds very familiar, remove the cap nut and add a star type lock washer, then snug everything up.

Kinda sucks you have to do stuff to it to make it work properly, for $200 I'd expect it to work better than anything out there right out the gate.

Dang, I was thinking about grabbing a few to upgrade my bottles. They look nice as hell.

I had 3 leak from different connection points, after the 3rd try got my money back . I bought a J B no problems at all .
Actually same here when I got mine. I had to snug up every connection. First tank fill there was audible air leaking. Then the tank was losing air overnight. All is good now but I was a bit let down it wasn't pressure tested before shipping.

$200 for a leaky valve is not a good way to start out. I will keep an eye on this thread and see how many have problems.

I decided to hold off on the Sabor valve. I'll wait and see how they review this fall.
After doing some serious consumer research and talking to owner's, I went and bought the saber tank valve at Shooter's bench in Nampa Idaho. I had it installed to a Scott carbon fiber tank and filled the tank all in one shot! Thanks Phil! Like that one stop shopping! This is my first go round with scba tanks as a fill source, I have been using a compressor as my primary fill source. The tank is way more convenient, quieter, faster, and easier to use when I'm in the field. The saber valve is smooth, easy to read, quality made, and didn't leak! I'm not ready to get rid of the compressor, but the tank and valve are a welcome addition. Thanks to you all for your honest opinions/reviews!
