Sacramento CA area DOT hydro test facility

For all the folks live in Sacramento area who want their SCBA tanks hydro tested for a piece of mind I found this place in Rancho Cordova. They are DOT certified so will perform hydro test within the 15 year service life of the bottle. The fee is 30 dollars so very reasonable but the best part is 1-2 day turn around time. They will also do minor epoxy coating repair(required by DOT) for 10 dollars!!! Dropped mine off today so will see how it goes but they seem very knowledgeable and good/easy to deal with.

edit: just want to add a bit more clarity, they will NOT test bottles outside of the 15 year service life without special 350 dollar recertification per DOT regulation(they don’t do recertification test). They are mainly B2B so they don’t take credit card, they can only accept cash or check.

Quick update: they called me 8:15 this morning and told me my tank/bottle is done!!!! Less than 24 hour turn around! WOW! No idea if every test would be this quick but awesome for sure. The paintball shop quoted me 35 dollars for the test and 3-4 weeks turn around time! Sooooo happy that I found them and gave them a try! 


Will pick it up later this morning.

Well, being the engineering nerd type I like to verify/validate EVERYTHING, so I went to DOT.GOV and verified their DOT certification. Apparently they been doing this since 2001, that's 20 years!
