With a warm day forecast by the NWS, the day started out getting to the range at 7:00 am with the temps already hovering 75-76*
Chris and Marty were already on site when the front gates were opened @ 15 minuets earlier. We got early help !! so lets Get-R-Done !!
Set up of this days 15 lanes / 60 shots was accomplished inside @ 45 minuets before even a 1/3 of the days shooters arrived on site. Way to go we need to beat this heat !!
Our offhand lane today was mid course on lane 8 being our traditional bell targets. all 4 shots today to be offhand only, no kneeling.
As the shooters get on site, having signed in on liability waver & a score card filled out & fee paid, the Practice range was open for there use.
Ending the practice session a shooters meeting was called where the basics of safety and today's course was talked about. Squads assignments had already been done & who with who & lanes were announced. We end up with 22 shooters today all willing to beat up on the steel quarry.
* With a heat forecast we get after it and encourage all to keep moving along so we can get out of there quickly after eating lunch.
Thanks to Darren T we get a 2 1/2 gallon jug of Ice Tea, Big bag of ice in an insulted carrier and cups to boot !!! It was a massive hit with the crew !!! as it was drank all threw out the match & nearly empty by lunch.

So once we get all shooters finished up, some food goodies get brought out and we all get a light lunch. Pinwheel Sandwiches, Cookies, water & soda & chips too.
Course gets picked up right afterwards, all packed away for next month. We're able to get everything done and able to drive away at 1:00 to go square up with the front office for the 22 attendees present today. When leaving the range property had 102* outside air temp .. yes it got Hot !!!
This was a speedy match today and while all in attendance laughed and giggled & groaned there way threw the grueling 60 shots all still had a grand time with there friends !!
So ... a BIG Thank you to all who made it out to shoot with the SVFTC today, those who help out a double thanks !!
