Safari shooting 103 m / 112,7 Yards in the wind

Last sunday I went to my farm and I decided to give my Red Wolf Safari .25 cal a try at "long range". the targets were set at 103 meters / 112,7 yards, and the wind was 8 Mph from left to right. I was shooting over my car with no bipods using Jsb king MKII 34gr at 966 fps.

I know that this rifle can be more accurate in better weather conditions and if I do my part.

I'll give it another try soon after reparing it (problem of safaty catch 😔 explained here Safari problem )

Walid,

I had the Safari .25 and exchanged the barrel and pellet probe for a .22 HP version, for 100 yard BR shooting. I do really like the gun either in .25 or .22 HP, and apparently you do as well. The MK2's shot the best for me in .25 cal.

Let me say that your groups are amazingly accurate for shooting at 1) 112 yards, 2) in an 8 mph wind, 3) with no rear rest and no bipod, across your car!!!

Great shooting and wind reading!

Tom

That’s great shooting. I can’t do that off a stable rest in no wind. Or not often. I almost never find consistent wind conditions. It’s either calm or gusty. Gusty will cause you to drink. Nice gun. I’d like to see a safari in person. I understand they are attractive. In pictures I can’t say I’m “sold” enough to buy one.

John

Buy one! You will not regret.

I can’t shoot as good from 100 yards, and with a great bipod and great rear rest. But, you will love love love... the accuracy of the Safari!!!
