Traditional Rifle Santa Rosa Beeman RX-1, .177

Classified Status
SOLD
I got this rifle in a trade, and it is not really up my alley. But I know there are some enthusiasts out there for whom this historic Beeman/Weihrach/Theoben collaboration is meaningful. The bore and deeply blued German metal are in excellent shape. This rifle cocks like everything is gliding in butter. I have never handled a smoother springer/gas ram. The original iron sights are apparently long gone. The beech stock could use refinishing.
I took it to the range on a recent windy afternoon to chronograph some Crosman Premier Hollowpoints and over 10 shots, got a high of 896, a low of 880, average of 886 for an ES 16 and SD of 5. This rifle shoots 10-yard bugholes in the house, but I can't shoot in my back yard and the day I chronographed, I shot informally for group at 25 yards and got almost no vertical dispersion, but with a breeze gusting from 10-15 or more over my left shoulder, I had a tough time keeping horizontal spread under an inch.
Comes with Edition 17 of the Beeman Precision Airgun Guide, 104 pages of gold from 30 years ago, plus the probe, pump and pressure gauge, and some spare parts.
Asking $500 shipped insured.
