Scammers have hit again

"jking"I just got a note from the guy that bought my AA S510 here in the last week. He spotted my same add over on the American Airguns Classifieds today. Be warned ! I'm not a member there or I would give them a warning post. If anyone is a member there I would appreciate it you could send them a warning.

You don't have to be a member to post. Just have to use a password to edit and delete posts. I went ahead and posted a warning ad to let people know it's a possible scam.

Watch doing that Norm - I did it and the web- "Master" banned MY IP address. Go figure - I just goof off over there with a proxy server so no big deal.

J - I found that on the 12th (let the guys on the yellow know who questioned it) and it was still there a day later - that guy has NO CLUE on how to run a website.

That would be ironic since they don't ban repeat scammers there. After the scammer took down his ad I deleted my ad.

BTB, "that guy has NO CLUE on how to run a website"
BUT Brad had done MORE for airgunning than pretty much anyone else.
Did you ( does everyone ? ) email webmaster@ with the ad # in the subject line? Or you just ad to the problem by posting more junk?

I've purchased over 100 used pre-charged airguns off Brad's going back over 15 years, NEVER been scammed but then again I use common since, and, I meet people face to face, like Brad. Heck of a nice guy who does a LOT for the airgun community ( NOT just the ad's) and receives nothing back for n99% of his effort.

Anyone who ever see's a bad ad on AA please just email the webmaster and he will deal with it asap.

Emailed him about 3 different ads and NONE of them were removed. I posted "more junk" to warn anyone looking at the ads, and then my "junk ad" and the SCAM were removed.

I send the webmaster an email as soon as I notice one on AA, but often it's still there 24 hours later. I do not think anyone expects him to monitor these 24/7. So buyers/sellers need to be aware and use common sense.

There is one SCAM for an FX Impact .25 for $1,500 right now on the AA, the same one that was taken down a day ago. The IP address again is from Nigeria. I am tired of sending emails and warning notices.

I've done exactly the same. So for those 24hrs how many people does the scammer have the potential to scam? If there is a "junk post" calling him out right below it wouldn't you agree the potential victims decreases significantly?

Then when he finally does get around to "deleting" the ad then nothing else worthwhile is done to "prevent" it from happening again. Sure he has a "list", but without actually looking at the list and "hand searching" it each time you can't tell what is on it. However it is he has it set up, the information on it is not conducive to google or bing searches. If the "junk ad" were still there, with the email address in the text it will show up in a google search if someone were to do that.

Here is the same impact again post just today. It was posted exactly the same, with the same name and email address. Is there any reason this information is not on the scammer list?

Makes no sense, the original ad was deleted so if someone searched the email address it will only show up for the ad........but since someone posts a "junk post" on the yellow warning about the scam, it also shows up there, so maybe a potential victim will be saved. Now if you search google and click the "omitted results" you will see the ad in the results, but unless the ad is still in the google cache it will show as being gone.
