Scope Caps (Athlon Midas Tac)

The Midas Tac 6-24x50 does not come with scope caps....so I was looking at these....



If you have any opinion I'd love to hear it....

1. MKM - I have his throw lever and parallax wheel and the quality is next level for 3D printing. Right now these are my front runners bc his quality is amazing. $75 for the pair

2. Aadland - Also seem like amazing caps, these are a push button on the eyepiece (not on the objective lens) but the MKM's just snap in so this the one benefit these have. $90 for the pair 

From what I have heard the rubber piece on the Monstrum's tends to rip and Butler Creek does not fit the Athlon very well (based on a few reviews I read)

MKM and Aadlands are BO'd looks like. Butlers have a fairly thin and pliable skirt for snug fitment, no extra clamping nut. Can size just a bit under your needed diameters, and probably fit fine. Can buy them off the shelf at the LGS. I have a couple Butlers, work fine for what they are and are, well, budget friendly, compared to 75$ caps.

TRy Vortex caps, size to lens.I've found they hold up better than Bear Creeks. I purchased mine from Optics Planet.

You won't regret the MKMs. Have had 2 pairs. One on an Ares ETR UHD 3-18x50 I no longer own and one on my Midas Tac 4-16x44. Top notch scope caps.

Yes measure they come sized to fit a range of lenses, example 30-40mm, 40-50mm etc. I just buy direct from MKM, look them up on the web. I haven't use their scope caps but have been pleased with their throw levers and parallax wheels.

Yea I have no issues with the Butlers except for a few people saying the ones they were told fit my scope, didn't fit. Overwise the price looks great.

Bought a Midas tac 6 or 8 weeks ago. Have always been happy with Butlers so googled the sizes to fit the Midas. Ordered those two sizes from Amazon and they fit just fine, $20.58 total.

These two:

Butler Creek 39-40 Objective Multiflex Flip-Open Scope Cover , Black

Butler Creek Flip-Open Eyepiece Scope Cover, Size 19 (1.73-Inch, 43.9mm) , Black

Looks like price went up a bit in the last two months, but still pretty cheap and not too bad quality.

Thanks for the product info . Saved me the time of looking it up . I have a Midas Tac on the way . I just ordered a sun shade for it today ( forgot when I placed the original) . N

Yes size and 19 and 40 those were the sizes I found as well. Hmm, maybe it was user error on the few reviews I saw that said they did not fit. I'm sure if you said they fit, they do. Maybe I will give them a go, they are so cheap I really can't go wrong I suppose

For what the Midas Tac costs, Athlon should include them in the box. Most every other manufacturer includes some kind of lens protection. This is pretty cheesy of them.

Just got Athlon Midas Tac HD 6-24X50. Does the BC scope cap from the Amazon link above fit for sure? The link above is for 39-40 objective lense but the Athlon is 50mm. I don't see how the one provided in the link would work.

Those are the Butler Creek designated sizes, they're not the mm. 

I posted those links out of my amazon purchases. And they fit my Athlon Midas Tac as good as any scope cap can (the right size).
