New to the forum. I recently purchased a Diana RWS 34 .22 cal air rifle. Which scope rings should I use? Should I purchased a droop compensator? I will be putting the Hawke Airmax 3-9x40 scope on it.

Hi and welcome! I'm fair new here also but long time air gunner.
Honestly dont go crazy with mounts on that rifle.Its probably a decent Springer but will have limitations. Something simple like the BKL mounts will do the trick. Getting the right height, mounted correctly and probably lapped will set you up as good as you can.
I would do some searching on what pellets do best out of that gun and try them all cause every gun is different. Once you find the best group stay with that pellet and sight into that pellet.
Use and know your hold overs in your scope at certain zoom levels.

The best option for you and a the RWS Lockdown mount. I have it on all of my Diana , RWS, and AA springers. Works perfect.

Yes, get a droop mount. I recommend the RWS Lock Down droop mount. They are available in 1 inch or 30MM.

I just bought a 30mm dovetail single strap pair from the classifieds. About the perfect height for my Veyron 3-12x44.
But I just got them. Anything I should look for?

Mine was one inch. They have a one year warranty with proof of purchase receipt.
Mine had easily stripped it's screws way less than torque specs but the worst part it would crush the scope tube if tightened even far less than torque recommended.
