Scope Mounts and Zeroing Out of Adjustments Down

The M3 already has 20 MOA built into the scope rail which is why you're shooting high. You could still use adjustable scope rings by raising the front ring up to level it out or bring your POI down. You could still also use a one piece 20 MOA scope mount to level it out or a 30 MOA scope mount to bring the POI down. Just flip the one piece scope mount around. Also, like Chuck-in-Ohio mentioned, optically center your scope.

I looked up Nightforce's Standard Duty rings and it looks like there's no MOA built in. Another option which might be more affordable is to get a 20 MOA picatinny rail riser, flip it around, and clamp it on the rail. The only problem is that it would raise the height of your scope rings.

So, after watching a couple of videos on the Optical centering I noticed my windage adjustment had 5 complete turns and my elevation adjustment had only 2 complete turns.

I took the elevation turret cover off and found a piece that looks like some sort of zero stop or something.

After removing that piece, I now have 5 full turns of elevation as well. I'm going to re-install the scope and see if I can zero it now!

Here is the piece I removed.

Get adjustable scope rings like EagleVision or FX No Limit rings. There are also other one piece scope mounts with MOA built into them.
Greeting, P671.
I am having a similar or identical problem zeroing my new Helix 4-16x44 on my Crown MK II using Vortex extra-high mounts, which were recommended to me by someone in AGN.
Please listen to this and see if your advice above fits or if you (or anybody) thinks something else may be wrong.
One, I went to zero the scope at 25 yards about two weeks ago. The pellet hit about 4 inches high and 3.5 inches right. That didn’t seem bad. But having the turret cap off, which shows which way is up (!), I accidentally turned the top turret the wrong way and the pellet then hit about double that height. It started raining so I came in. I wanted to get back to factory zero, but got confused. (I know, I guess it is somewhat simple, but I am learning.) Two, I emailed Element and Shane told me to dial the scope out, count the clicks, divide by two, and dial there, which was what I got from some thread here but wanted to make sure. Three, this I did today. The total travel was 135 clicks which equals about 67 clicks to get the erector tube in the middle. However, the first shot now hit about 7 inches high, and I could not get closer than about two inches to my POI. The windage is fine, by the way. So, can someone please assist? The gun is so very accurate. I never shot anything but a Marauder before, and the Crown seems to be living up to its price point and billing—two inches high, however.
I am eager to get things straight.
Thank you very much in advance.
