Scope on a FWB300

Hi everyone. I have already searched and read through pages of discussion on this subject here and elsewhere on the web, but having trouble finding a conclusion on two pieces of info:

Is the 300 low powered enough for a non springer rated scope to survive?

Is there a weight limit for mount and optic where it begins to impede the sledge from working properly?

I installed a Mueller 8-32 Target Dot on mine to shoot 25M BR, only because I wanted more magnification. For general use, I recommend an Optisan CP 3-12 or 4-16 compact scope or a GPO 3-12 or 4-16 Centuri Super Compact. Both are available in SFP or FFP. Trenier Airguns has Optisans in stock.

I appreciate that. I see Optisan is very forward about being springer rated. Does GPO actually state that somewhere? Or Mueller for that matter? I know some scopes have quietly earned the reputation for holding up even though it’s not specifically advertised.
