Scope Tape

My question is, When I re-zero my rifle does it make the scope tape inaccurate? Example, I zero my rifle at 25yds, I chronograph my pellet speed, I use StrelokPro and make my tape marked every 5yds from 40-100yds. My rifle does not loose zero unless accidentally knock around, but I check zero from time to time for minor adjustments... Does a click or two left or right up or down throw off my range tape (markings) on the turret?

If the pellet speed stays the same, you should be able to re-index the elevation turret to zero and your range markings will be the same as they were before you re-zeroed. In other words, if you put a tape on your elevation turret with 25 at 0 (for 25 yards) and a 45 at the 1.2 mil marking (12 clicks up), then rezeroing won't change the fact that 45 yards is 12 clicks up from 25 yards but you will still need to adjust the turret so that your 25 mark is at 0 and your 45 mark is at 12 clicks.

Also, I assume you are setting up for EFT, you might want to zero a little further out. I zero at 50 yards for EFT.

Your scope tape, depending on how you mark it, (I go by the yard) is meant to be a measurement of various distances according to your eyes… so it doesn’t affect your zero unless you mark your wheel with holdovers rather than distance

OR ... Change the Ocular focus from the position where it was set when setting up the distances !!!
