what do I need to buy to use fill and use this tank.I have Google and forum info overload and can't seem to find the answer (or its there and I'm too dense to understand )

I have an Omega compressor to fill these btw

You can use the kit shown above , or , for a cleaner set - up , remove the valve and replace it with an airgun specific unit. If you get one with a flow restrictor it makes filling the gun easier . You will be able to stop the fill exactly where you want.
I just replaced the valve on a Scott 30 minute tank that I will be selling with the better set up.

is the Scott 30 minute tank a 5/8 or 7/8 diameter?

I bought a fill set from Joe Brancatto for my Scott 45 minute bottle. It works great. To fill the tank, I put a male to male foster adapter in the hose from the fill set and hook that to the line from my Yong Heng. The second moisture filter has a one way valve in it so I just start up the YH and open the bottle valve. The bottle valve didn't feel great until I removed the spring from it. Now it works fine. The gauge only tells you approximate information on the pressure but it works well enough. Stickman is another fill set that seems to be good quality. I tried an inexpensive one and it leaked badly.

I bought a 30 min. bottle and the fill adapter pictured above @ about 40 bucks or so. Took a little doing to get a solid bottle connection, but all good now. Works great using the original valve on the bottle. It is a bit of a PITA to push in when turning off the valve. They design the valve to not be easily turned off, for obvious reasons. No check valve in mine so I need to watch the pressure and open the tank valve when the line pressure is above tank pressure. I'll swap the valve on the tank sooner or later and check valve it.

Take a 7/16" socket and tighten down the nut in the middle. Not all the way snug , but enough so that the valve moves freely without having to push it in.
Easy peasy .
