I agree that SCUBA tanks are not useless for an airgunner.
I made this post a couple years ago but still use the same process with the only change being that I upgraded the SCBA fill station and now use a Yong Heng compressor. Was also given a 45 min SCBA that gets traded out for the blue 60 min Drager when it gets low. Have been considering making a three tank cascade system.

Would I recommend going with a SCUBA over SCBA if just starting out? No. But if you've already got one, can get one cheap, or can only obtain 3000psi fills, they can still be of use and are better than hand pumping.
