how is do I fix this? Air is leaking from the filter connection when trying to fill my tank.

Thanks...Beach-gunner

I had the exact same problem with my diablo air dryer. I called AOA and they sent me another quick connect which also leaked. Then they sent me a whole new hose with quick connect that fixed the problem. I think the tolerances on these foster male and female disconnects are not tight enough. Its not the first time I have had leaks with brand new fittings. I actually had to turn one foster fitting down to a smaller diameter on my lathe cause the diameter was too big.

These are actually different than the standard foster type. Using a standard male will damage the Oring in the female coupling. These have a two Oring system using different sizes than the single one in the foster. Just change the top one and you should be good to go. As has been mentioned before in this forum, some generic branded fittings will be compatible with these and some won't. You will just have to find something that fits and use it as an adaptor or change them over but remember the threads are 10x1mm threads, not the standard 1/8 BSPP or NPT. I hope this helps you and anybody else having difficulties with these things.
