RAW Rapid Sekhmet gauge for HM1000x - Dimensional issue!

Just seen this thread and after buying two of the basic Sekhmet gauges I was going to fit to my Reximex Ixia/Throne but discovered that the thread depth on the block was pretty shallow so because the Skehmet gage has a small area with no thread there was not enough thread for me to feel happy about fitting them, so looking at the pic with the bottom portion removed this could work for me But can this be done with the smaller gauge?

Hi,
Because of the strength of the metal, I wouldn't worry about there not being sufficient threads to accomplish sealing. However, you might want to check with Nicole at Sekhmet regarding their new version which has a shorter nipple. Check my most recent post.
Thanks.
Thanks! I emailed them earlier and got a reply saying I could remove 1.5mm but recommended using CNC rather than a lathe and highlighting the point that too much pressure to the case could crack the glass, but I do have an engineering background, so maybe should have pointed that out.

I wouldn't feel happy about trying to instil with only about 2-3 threads catching, so will be turning it down, just wanted to make sure there wasn't a reason for the extended bit as in internal gauge mechanics.
