Tuning Semi auto marauder mag damage pictures

I purchased a semi auto marauder a few weeks ago and have been enjoying it since. It's got a bunch of squirrels and starlings under its belt and loves JSB Hades and regular JSB 16 grain. Shoots others well but not hole in hole at 35 yards like the ones mentioned. But I think pellet testing is what caused my problem. I think heavier pellets and slugs caused the mag to rotate slower than the bolt cycles which caused the bolt to impact and damage the pellet divider tabs in the mags. Has anyone else experienced this issue? I'm thinking about making a 1.5 mm thick plate to overlay the mag internal so bolt impacts can't damage the plastic divider. I've contacted Benjamin crosman customer service and they've agreed to send a replacement and when it arrives I'll begin modifying this one to fit the plate. Hoping that will solve it but I'm open to any and all suggestions if someone knows a better or easier way. Or if you think I'm wrong about what's happening to cause the damage and see it differently that can be helpful too. Thanks for any help offered. And It's not perfect but I hate the factory finish they put on rifles in the marauder family price range and quickly strip, sand, and refinish any rifle I buy before final setup if you're wondering why it looks different.

I had the same issue when testing pellets. When running FX hybrids made the mag skip. After than it was hard to load the mag with regular pellets and it was making everything cycle improperly. After I removed the mag and sanded it down it works fine again. I just stick to basic diabolo pellets. I increased the hammer tension and it shoots jsb 18s very well.

Where did you get that stock for it? I am not a fan of the OEM stock with the walnut coating over beech. I want to sand all the finish off mine and just stain the beech.

Thanks for the comments on the stock. It is the factory stock that I removed the finish from and sanded then stained dark walnut to make the grain stand out. I hate the factory finish and any rifle I buy with the same finish gets the same treatment. A shame the factory isn't willing to put a little more effort into the stock of such a solid performing platform. Could even sale walnut or others as options if they wanted. It's not hard to get a much better look on your beech stock though and suggest everyone try it. Feel free to message me if you want help or want to know in more detail what tools I use and exactly how I do all of mine. I look forward to seeing what kind of grain your stocks have.

Received the replacement mag today but it's not correct. They sent me an 8 shot p rod magazine which I'll gladly put to use but far from the 10 shot seemingly super rare semi auto mag I asked for. Still can't buy them anywhere I know of. We'll see what shows up. Mine likes the JSB Hades the best which is fine with me since it's getting put back on squirrel duty when I get a functioning mag.
