Thinking about the Dragonfly. What sight enhancements have folks tried other than a scope? Use for plinking, personal target practice, perhaps a pest or two here and there.

Yes they are a pumper. I have some age related joint problems and they are reported to require less pumping effort.
I don't think I want a scope on it. Peep sight, diopter, or maybe a reflex red dot. I am hoping the members here can give some good suggestions.

I recieved my Seneca Dragonfly MK2 from Pyramyd Air back in June of last year . . . it's of the .22 cal. size. I have absolutely no complaints about it. ABSOLUTELY! The iron sights and accuracy are extremely good for this price-range of pumper. In fact, my 10 year old grandson hits the bull at 50 yards. It pumps as advertised. For most shooting out to 25 yards, 5/6 pumps is adequate. I choose 8 pumps out to 50 yards. I'm too old to shoot all afternoon and have to pump it any more times, and it's just not necessary. By the way, this pumper is quite light at about 5 lbs. Buy one . . . you'll fall in love with it as I have. Orv.

BB likes them more than he does the Sheridan Blue Streak. At least in .22... It seems to be more accurate than the .177.

Funny that you mention a Blue Streak. I have one I purchased new in 1964. I took it down and removed the factory finish to refinish the wood. It has some nice wood that now can be seen. It had lost its ability to hold air. It will go off for repair in the next few weeks. I am very much leaning to the Dragonfly with a Buck Rail moderator to shoot in my backyard.

I have one in.22 w/Buckrail supressor. I have a 6-20 scope mounted, and 30,40,50 yard accuracy is really good- .75"at 40 &50 yards. I just bought another one (refurbished) & it arrived today & looks perfect. I plan on opening up the valve/transfer port to see how much more power it can put out. The Dragonfly will need its screws tightened often, and don't get silicone oil in the pump tube. The magazine works well and beats loading another pellet after every shot. 4pumps for 20yards, 10 for 30yards, 12 for 40, and 15 for 50yards. Loves Crosman premier hollow points too. An 8 year old could do 15 pumps-its that easy to pump. Get one, you will like it.

Thanks all for your input. I have ordered the Dragonfly in .22 from PA getting a refurb unit. I'll add a BuckRail suppressor as I live in a neighborhood that seems offended by guns of any kind. If I keep it quiet there may be no complaints. Can't shoot a .22 rimfire here due to county rules. This will give me a way to shoot without having to pack up and drive somewhere. Just want to shoot for fun. Right now no critters to dispatch.

I would like to mount a red dot or perhaps a red green dot reflex sight. The rear portion of the 11mm dovetail is a little over 2" long. I like the looks of the Westlake Tactical Holographic Reflex Red Green Dot Sight or the CenterPoint Optics 32mm Open Reflex Sight 4 Red/Green Dot. They each according to info measure 3.35" long. The info does not specify the length needed to mount either of them.
Anyone know if the mounting clip would fit on the available 2 1/8 " space available without disallowing use of the magazine?
