OK. I just recieved a 30 minute sperian tank with a frest hydro.. I want to remove the valve... It's not budging.. Righty-tighty, lefty-loosey correct ?

Any tips would be appreciated.... 

I did have the tank on a porch 4x4 post with a ratchet strap...

Yep, lefty loosey. Sometimes they are very hard to remove. Why are you removing the valve?

And a 'duh' reply... its empty right? They are on there tight, but pressure in the tank would make them near impossible to move, which is good because pulling the valve on a filled tank (even a little) could make for a bad day.

Ha !! yes it it wide open and empty... I was contemplating removing the condensate tube so I could point the valve down and blow out any water.. I guess it's not really needed..

If water got as far as your tank then other measures need to be taken with who ever is filling the tank.
